Adopting
through FANA:
Residencias
for Adopting Families
While in Colombia, families are encouraged to stay in a residence
specifically set up for adoptive families. Several adoptive families,
typically from the U.S. and Europe, stay together. Each family has
a private room; families share common dining and living areas.
These residences provide many services that families may need to
care for a new baby. Cribs, bottle sterilizers, meals and cleaning
services are all provided. Childcare and transportation services can
be arranged upon request.
Residences
are located a comfortable walking distance from restaurants and
shopping (please see Places of Interest). Residences typically have
cable TV and internet service.
